Paul R. Eden, of St. Petersburg, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025, surrounded by his children.
Born in the Bronx, NY, Paul grew up in Brookfield, CT, where he later enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves. He began his professional career at Harris Industries before joining Harco Laboratories, where his dedication and leadership led him to become President of the company.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, Russell and Catherine Eden, his sister, Marilyn Frank, his son, Edward Eden, and his former wife, Anita Bruhn. He is survived by his brother, Louis Eden, his children, John Fournier (Deniel), Paul Eden (Samantha), Penelope Eden, and Paige Savell (Adam), as well as his beloved grandchildren: John Fournier Jr., Kylie Olsen, Kaitlyn Eden, Tyler Savell, Silver Batchelor, Madelyn Savell, Blake Eden, Steele Batchelor, Charlotte Savell, and Stella Savell. He is also survived by his former wife, Barbara Eden, Daughter In Law Susan Eden and numerous nieces and nephews.
Known to his friends and family as “Poppy” or “Senior,” Paul will be remembered for his love of family and the joy he found in spending time with them—especially vacationing at the beach. He was quick with a joke, sharp-witted, and had a remarkable ability to bring laughter to those around him. A natural builder, Paul often took on home projects and enjoyed working with his hands.
His legacy lives on in the love he shared, the wisdom he offered, and the family he cherished.
