David Walter Lockwood

David Walter Lockwood was born on October 30, 1943, to Ruth and Carl Lockwood. Dave spent much of his life “on the road,” working as a truck driver—a career that wasn’t just a job, but truly a part of who he was. He carried home countless memories from his years behind the wheel, and he shared them generously. Whether it was a hilarious mishap, a moment of kindness from a stranger, or a scene from some far stretch of highway, Dave had a story for everything. Quick with a joke and always ready with a good laugh, Dave also had a deep love of music that followed him throughout his life.
Dave was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Sandy, his sister Judith Griffen, his dog, Pepper, and his parents. He was the proud and devoted father of his three children: David A. Lockwood, Sherry Bickers, and Rae Jean (Brian) Rogers.
He is survived by his children; his grandchildren—Sara Bickers, Logan (Jessica) Lockwood, Aaron, Matthew (Amy), and Sandra Kear—and his great grandson, Ryan, all of whom brought him joy and pride.
A private service will be held in Crossville, Tennessee, the final resting place of Dave’s mother.
