Michael Robert Young

Michael Robert Young, age 81, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of strength, service, and devotion.
Born on September 9, 1944, Michael lived a life defined by the values of the United States Marine Corps, where he served with honor and pride. Once a Marine, always a Marine, he carried the spirit of Semper Fidelis—“Always Faithful”—into every aspect of his life.
Michael was the beloved husband of the late Mildred Young, with whom he is now reunited. Together, they built a family rooted in love and resilience. He was a steady presence and a source of guidance for his four daughters: Kimberly Mitchell and her husband, Charlie; Victoria Young; Kristin McKeen and her husband, Tyler; and Cynthia Young.
His greatest joy in his later years was his role as a grandfather. He leaves behind six grandsons who will carry his memory forward: Zachary, Trevor, Corey, Tyler, Charles Jr., and Kaiden. They will remember him for his strength of character and the quiet pride he took in their accomplishments.
He is also survived by his sister, Janice “Young” Jones, and her husband, David; his nephew, Christopher; and his niece, Lauren.
In addition to his military service and devotion to family, Michael loved spending time fishing with his wife, friends, and grandsons.
