For Guy/Dad
Guy was laughter in a crowded room, a spark that didn’t ask for permission—
loud, sudden, and unforgettable. The kind of laugh that stayed with you long after the moment had passed.
He was the maker of memories,
the one who found ways to turn ordinary days into stories we would carry forever.
He brought adventure, fun, and moments of joy that became pieces of our family’s story.
He loved—
not always perfectly,
not always in the ways we hoped for,
and not always in the ways we needed.
But in the ways he knew how.
The love he had for his family
was a part of who he was.
He was stubborn,
a man set in his ways,
carrying battles inside
we couldn’t always see
or understand.
But still—
he was Dad.
He was Double G.
He was Guy.
And today we choose to hold the whole story:
the laughter and the tears,
the beautiful memories and the difficult ones,
the love and the healing.
We release what was heavy.
We cherish what was good.
We forgive what we can,
and we find peace in knowing
that every life is made of both sunshine and storms.
Because love does not have to be perfect
to be real.
And forgiveness does not mean forgetting—
it means allowing our hearts
to finally rest.
Guy will be remembered for his laughter, the memories he created, and the love that will continue through his surviving children ( Brittany and Caleb), grandchildren (Mason and Carter), brother (Frankie), sister (Melissa), niece (Daejah), mother (Gail).
