Barbara Lee Horan

Barbara Lee Horan, 89, passed away peacefully after a long and full life marked by resilience,
determination, and independence.
Born in New York City, Barbara was predeceased by her beloved husband, James Horan, and
is survived by her four children: James, Peter, Karen, and John. She was also a proud
grandmother to seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She spent her later years in
the beautiful sunshine of Cape Coral, Florida, where she enjoyed a warm and fulfilling chapter
of her life.
A strong-willed and capable woman, Barbara charted her own course in life and instilled in her
family the values of perseverance and self-reliance. She faced challenges with practicality and
resolve, and encouraged those around her to do the same.
Her life was not one of ease, but of steady commitment and quiet strength. She will be
remembered as a woman who did not waver, who valued independence, and who left her
family and friends with an enduring example of fortitude and grace. She will be greatly missed
by her family and friends.
