| Brent R. Bradshaw, a devoted father and friend, passed away on June 9, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on May 2, 1960, to Elbert and Geneva Bradshaw, Brent grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana, and graduated from North Central High School, where he formed lifelong friendships with a close-knit group known as the Nimrods. He went on to attend Boston University, graduating in 1982. Brent raised two sons, John P. Bradshaw (“Jack”) and Brendan M. Bradshaw (“Max”), with whom he shared a deep bond. He found immense joy in spending time with them—whether golfing, fishing, traveling, or cheering on his favorite teams, especially the Boston Red Sox and Indiana Pacers. Brent had a deep love for live music, often finding peace, connection, and joy in concerts and performances throughout his life. He was also deeply proud of his 18+ years of sobriety, a journey he began on December 4, 2006—an achievement that reflected his enduring commitment to be the best father he could be. Brent’s time at Boston University fostered friendships that lasted a lifetime and instilled in him a love for the Boston area, particularly Martha’s Vineyard, which he returned to often. In 2019, he relocated to St. Petersburg, Florida. A man of kindness, humor, and quiet resilience, Brent is survived by his sons Jack and Max; his sisters, Spring Crews (Tyler) and Melody Terris (Jim); his nieces, Brett and Brookly; his nephew, Trevor; and many dear friends. A memorial gathering to celebrate Brent’s life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, at the White River Yacht Club. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. |
