Brody Allen Seiger, 39, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away on September 21, 2023. Born on July 7, 1984, in Waynoka, Oklahoma, Brody was a compassionate individual with a heart of gold. He was known for his selflessness and generosity, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Brody would often give his last dollar away, buy food for the less fortunate, and even provide shelter to the homeless.
During his school years, Brody actively participated in soccer, baseball, and track. He also enjoyed fishing with his family. After earning his diploma, he enlisted in the Army in 2005, demonstrating his commitment to serving his country. Following boot camp, Brody was deployed to Iraq but was medically returned stateside before his tour ended. He was then assigned to the Wounded Warriors program at Ft. Stuart Army Base in Georgia. Brody’s dedication and service earned him several accolades, including the Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star AR, and the Army Service Ribbon.
Brody is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Seiger-Erickson, his father, Fred Seiger, his brother, Lionel Vicknair, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins from both sides of the family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lemoise Savage, Mary Simmons, Leon, and Violet Seiger, as well as several aunts and uncles.
Brody worshipped at the Church of Christ, where he found solace and community. However, as per the family’s wishes, there will not be a memorial service to honor Brody’s life. Instead, they kindly request that donations be made to any non-government agency that educates and supports efforts to help put an end to drug addiction, especially Fentanyl.
In memory of Brody Allen Seiger, contributions can be made to the charity/ies dedicated to combating drug addiction and advocating for justice in Pinellas County.
