Donald Amsler 63 of Holiday Fl. passed away in his home. Preceded in death by his wife Candi Amsler, Father Donald H. Amsler, Mother Mildred Whitbeck. Surviving siblings include his sister Cynthia Amsler Smith Wooldridge and 3 step siblings. Lewis Seavey of Albany NY, Linda Anderson of FL and Edwin of NC.

Graduate of Tarpon Springs Senior High School Class of 1980. He enlisted in the marines in 1980 inducting at Cherry Point NC a second-generation marine following in his father’s footsteps. Stationed on the USS Tarawa during The Peace Keeping Mission of the Lebanese Civil War 1982.

Despite suffering from PTSD and other medical issue Donnie was a caring, empathic person that would give you his last dollar. He was his wife’s caregiver for over 10 years and was management in the fast-food industry for several years and at Harah’s casino NC before moving back to FL. Donnie was compassionate for his fellow brothers who suffered like himself and would love for you to make a donation to wounded warriors or any veteran’s organization in his memory.
