Denny Johnson (1948-2021 ) passed away in Sarasota, Florida on 09/24/2021. He was a resident of Warren, Ohio and Trumbull County for approximately 60 years before relocating to Henderson, Nevada. He lived in Sarasota, Florida for the past 12 years. Denny was preceded in death by his son, William, of Girard, Ohio. He has two grandchildren, Clinton and Jaclyn. He is also survived by his daughter, Carolyn (Mike), of Middletown, Ohio, his brother, Doug, of Oracle, Arizona and his twin sister and loving caregiver for the past several years, Mary Ann of Sarasota, Florida. Denny worked for decades at the former Robert H. Roberts Memorial Home in Warren, Ohio. He became a co-owner of the business during the last half of his career. He later served as a security officer for Green Valley Casinos in Nevada and as a public safety officer for over ten years at Sarasota’s Ringling School of Art and Design. Denny was a member of Central Christian Church (Warren, Ohio) for 60 years and served as Chairman of the Trustees there. He also was a member and former President of the Warren Rotary International. The Rotary bestowed upon Denny the highest recognition honor of the organization. One of his many accomplishments included being a coordinator of the amphitheater project at Packard Park (Warren, Ohio). Denny loved cooking, woodworking, home improvement and remodeling projects. He shared his talents with many family and friends over the years. He also was a lifetime fan of Ohio State University football. His favorite past time in recent years was relaxing on Siesta Key Beach. Memorial arrangements will be private. |
