DeWayne Leidigh, age 82, died of natural causes on January 2, 2022 in Clearwater, FL.

DeWayne Leidigh was born on May 10th, 1939 in Robins, IA to Virgle and Emma Leidigh. DeWayne was happily married to Judith (Oliphant) Leidigh for 63 loving years while raising 3 beautiful daughters together.

DeWayne was a loyal member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 234, retiring from Modern Piping as a Heavy Equipment Operator. His family and friends will always remember him as “Silver Fox” and “Old Guy”. He was a great family man, an extremely loving father and had a heart of gold. DeWayne’s contagious smile will definitely be remembered and missed by all.

DeWayne was preceded in death by his parents Virgle and Emma (Frost) Leidigh of Cedar Rapids, IA; 2 brothers, 1 sister, 1 granddaughter, and 2 great-grandsons.

DeWayne was survived by his wife Judie Leidigh; daughters Roxanne Ellison, Becci (Stewart) Smith, Lisa LeMaster (Rance); 9 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, siblings Russ (Judy) Leidigh, Sharon McMurrin.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Iowa later this year.
