Angels are often disguised as Mothers.
Dorothy (Buscia) Fearn went home to the Lord peacefully at her home in Florida on January 13, 2023 at age 95.
She was born Aug 1, 1927 in Erie PA and graduated from East High School. She started working at the age of 15 and held many jobs, but most may remember her from her 17 years at Sears and Roebuck.
Dorothy was an avid reader, you could always find her in her chair reading a mystery novel. It was not uncommon for her to read 21 books in 21 days. If she knew of a new baby being born, you could count on a crocheted blanket arriving at your door.
Dorothy never met a stranger, she was kind, loving, and selfless to anyone she encountered. She was a member of Holy Rosary and St. Stan’s Church and loved to attend card parties, Parrish days and of course the Polish Festival.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Jenifer Sereno (Jeff), Son David Fearn (Margie), Grandchildren Zachary Schlagel, Morgen Jones (Scott), Victoria Fearn, Great Grandson Jay Schlagel, and several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Walter (Red) Fearn, sisters Bernadette and Martha Danowski, and Brothers Stanley and Danny Danowski.
A memorial service will be held in early summer at Mary Queen of Peace in Erie PA. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation in her honor to St Stan’s Parrish, Erie PA.
