Douglas J Smith Jr, 68 of Venice passed away peacefully on March 15 2021

Doug was born July 9 1952 in Detroit Michigan to Douglas and Betty Smith.

Doug served almost 2 years in the United States Marine Corps, he was honorably discharged with a Pistol Expert Badge, a Rifle Expert Badge and a National Defense Service Medal. He worked many years in the Sheet Metal Workers Union and Management for 7-11 Corporation until his retirement. Thru his life he enjoyed riding and building Harley Davidson Motor Cycles.

Doug is survived by his children, Bill Smith (Carolina) John Smith (Cher) Adrien Wilkerson and Liana Miskanis (Nick).

His Grandchildren who he adored, Alex, Phoenix, Chaz, Lani, Colton, Mia and he was very excited and waiting the arrival of his newest grandson.

His siblings, Vickie, Diane (Joe), Chris and Lynn, also many nieces and nephews, and his faithful, feathered, long time companion Harley.

Doug was predeceased and will be welcomed home by his wife, Mary B Smith, father, Douglas Smith, mother, Betty Smith and his granddaughter Eve.

The family will hold a private service at a later date.
