Earle Richard Andrews of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2024, at the age of 95. Born on May 2, 1929, Richard served in the US Navy during the Korean War from 1951 to 1955, stationed on three different aircraft carriers.
Richard’s professional life was dedicated to the real estate title insurance industry, beginning his career in Philadelphia before moving to Safety Harbor, FL in 1985. This move marked the continuation of his impactful professional journey until his retirement. A man of deep faith, Richard was an active, lifelong member of the United Methodist Church and a member of the Masonic Order since the age of 20.
Richard’s legacy is marked by his deep commitment to his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 74 years, Grace; and children, Steven Andrews and Nancy (Andrews) Dougherty (husband, Michael) of New Port Richey. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Christopher Dougherty (wife, Erica), Brianna (Dougherty) Jerman (husband, Mike), and Courtney Dougherty. Additionally, Richard is survived by six great-grandchildren: Adeline Jerman, Julia Dougherty, Molly Jerman, Caroline Dougherty, Lincoln Jerman, and Nolan Dougherty. These family members brought Pop-pop immense joy and pride.
Richard is now home with his heavenly Father. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him, but his legacy will endure through the love and memories he leaves behind.
A Military Committal Service will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida, in the future.
