Emily Taylor was born on April 6, 2000, in Enterprise, Alabama. She was a vibrant and caring young woman known for her desire to assist others. At the time of her passing, she resided in Clearwater, FL, with her boyfriend, Chandler. Emily worked as a case manager at Thompson Agency in Pinellas County, FL, while pursuing her master’s degree in social work and Family Law at USF.
Emily cherished moments with her family, outings at the lake, playing soccer, watching sunsets at the beach, and the companionship of her cat, Thoth. She is preceded in death by her stepbrother Quinten Godsey, grandfather Robert Schluter, and grandmother Jean Godsey.
Emily is survived by her father, Shawn Patterson, and was lovingly raised by her mother, Danete, along with stepfathers Randy Godsey and Rollin Miller. She is also survived by her stepbrother, Spencer Godsey, and her grandparents Karen Schluter, Rene and Johnny Patterson, as well as Raymond and Jeanine Godsey. Emily is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends who will cherish her memory dearly.
