Gilbert ‘Doug’ Jones aka Bubby, Bubbers, Dougie, Doogie,  Papa, Popi, Old Man Doug passed away peacefully from heart complications on October 4, 2020 at the age of 67.

Doug will be fondly remembered by his ‘he…he…he’ and his broad, winning grin! His huge heart always put others first and he deeply loved his family. Doug’s unique charisma will be sorely missed in the Colony Cove community where he and his wife resided for the past 10 years.  He LOVED his golf cart rides, pool time, playing the bongo drums, building wood projects, playing cards, watching the Patriots and let’s all remember the tall tales from his US Navy days.

Doug is survived by his loving soulmate Faye, daughters Nicole(Jason), Amanda(Eric), Angela, Beth(Steven), stepchildren Melissa(AJ), Jon, Matthew(Ashley), Paul(Codi Jo), Mary(Madus), siblings Bob and Debbie, several In-laws, 16 Grandchildren, 2 Great-Grandchildren,  and many, many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends near and far. Preceding him in death were his parents Leo and Jane Fuller and grandson Jonathan.

A private celebration of life was held in his honor on his homemade wood deck.   Memorial contributions may be made to the family or charitable group of choice.
