| Janet Susan Ulfsparre Bronte returned to the sea breeze and sunrise, October 24, 2025, surrounded by family in Venice, FL, after a short, brutal and courageous battle with cancer. Janet, also known affectionately to her grandchildren as JanMom, was predeceased by her adoring parents, Barbara (Burdett) and Lars Ulfsparre. She is survived and will be forever cherished by her loving children Valerie, James and Max, grandchildren Seymour and Aaron, as well as her beloved brother and sisters Eric and Laura (Lukens) Ulfsparre, Astrid Weinkle (Ulfsparre), Karlen Murray (Ulfsparre), Kristen Matthew (Ulfsparre), and nieces Terah, Erica, Brette, Laura, Daena and nephew Christopher. Countless friends have become like family through the too short but awesome life of Janet, and among those, John Cooper was her most trusted companion. Janet graduated a Pittsford-Mendon HS Viking at the top of her class in 1977. A talented artist, she studied art education at Nazareth College on a full scholarship. She started her family in Poughkeepsie, NY in 1980 with Joseph Bronte, before being awarded her BFA and named “Senior of the Year” by SUNY New Paltz. Janet started her first marketing business, Deco Graphix, from the family living room, before starting On Track Marketing in the 1990s. On Track Marketing evolved with the technological advances of the 1990s and by the early 2000s, after having relocated to Florida, Janet had become a prominent internet marketing and search engine optimization guru. Growing up in Pittsford, NY in its pastoral days, Janet especially loved nearby Mendon Ponds Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wild Wings Inc (Mendon Ponds Park Nature Center). Life is short, but we can make it wide during our time. Janet was able to touch so many people’s lives in so many places that we can be confident that she left this earth with no regrets. We will remember her as bright and as warm as the sun, always ready to cheerlead the impossible into reality. |
