Jimmie Lee Carter, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend, passed away suddenly, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and love on February 8, 2024 . Born on September 28, 1958, in El Paso, TX, he was a cherished son of Flora Stamper Carter and Jim Carter.

Jimmie is survived by his devoted sister, Sandra L’Homme, and his cherished nieces, Angela Turner and Amber Leto. He was preceded in death by his brother, Timmy Carter, who continues to remain in their hearts.

A born-again Christian, Jimmie lived his life with a deep love for God, and his family finds comfort in knowing he has returned to heavenly peace. His spirit, renewed and joyful, will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

Jimmie was known for his quick wit and infectious sense of humor. He could brighten any room with his clever puns and delightful one-liners, always making those around him chuckle. Quotes like “I can’t carry a tune across the street in a paper bag” and “She was scared as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs” are a testament to his ability to bring joy and laughter to life’s simplest moments.

We will remember Uncle Jimmy fondly, with his Stetson hat, cowboy belt buckle, and black boots, full of life and humor. As we say goodbye for now, we take solace in the joy and compassion he brought into our lives and look forward to the day we will see him again.
