| We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Jodie Lynn Lexa. She was the cherished daughter of Dorothy Lexa (and Joseph Lexa), mother of Tom ( Brandee) and Tim ( Sarah) Castillo, grandmother of Joey Castillo, sister of Julie Huff (Phil) and aunt of Alexa Thompson(Theo). Jodie loved her family, her friends, her loving church family, arts and crafts, but her special love was for her Lord and Savior, Jesus. She shared her faith from her heart to many people. Jodie knew that she was soon to meet Jesus face to face and did not fear death. She was excited to have a new body in Heaven and was more concerned with leaving her family behind. She knows that we will all meet again and walk the streets of gold where there are no tears or pain. In lieu of flowers, please consider giving to the Gulf Coast Fellowship Church building fund. Her church has been very supportive to Jodie and her family during this time. We thank each and every person who came to see her, wrote beautiful cards, and sent flowers. We also appreciate the meals provided so that her family could remain at her bedside. Jodie passed peacefully and painlessly, at home. She was surrounded by her boys who held her hands and spoke gently and lovingly to her. We, her family, are grateful for the many, many prayers and outpouring of love. She will rest in peace at the Bay Pines National Cemetary in St. Petersburg, Florida. |
