John E. Snodgrass

John E. Snodgrass, age 66, of Punta Gorda, Florida, formerly of Scio, Ohio Went home to be with the Lord on March 9, 2023. He was surrounded by Family and Friends at the time of his death.

John was born July 8, 1956. He will forever be remembered and loved by his family, and the many people lucky enough to have called him a friend.

John was preceded in death by his Father William (Donna) Snodgrass and Mother Louella (Phil) Rudolph, His brother James (Jim) Snodgrass, and sister Nita Snodgrass. His father-in-law Everett (Bud) Ludwig.

He is survived by his wife Doreen (Dori) Snodgrass of Punta Gorda, Florida, his sons Christopher Michael Snodgrass of Carrollton, Ohio, James (Kelsey) Snodgrass of New Philadelphia, Ohio, Granddaughter Penelope (Penny) Snodgrass of Carrollton, Ohio, His Sister Rita (Paul) Staley of Cadiz, Ohio, His sister Carolyn Snodgrass of Alliance, Ohio and his brother Joseph Snodgrass of Cadiz Ohio. His brother-in-law Gregg (Nina) Ludwig of East Liverpool, Ohio and his mother-in-law Barbara Ludwig of Winter haven, Florida. His many nieces and nephews. His two beloved Dachshunds Dot and Belle.

John was well known for his sense of humor always quick with a smile and a kind word. He loved all sports and was an avid Pittsburgh Fan. He was a member of the Tappan Lake Volunteer Fire Department serving as a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician. Retired Director of the Harrison County Job and Family Services and Child Support Enforcement Agency. John spent many years coaching Hot stove, Baseball Teams. Coaching baseball was something he truly loved.

We would like to invite friends and family to join us when we welcome John home with a Celebration of Life Service. It will be officiated by Pastor Ed Kovacik at Scott Memorial United Methodist Church, 817 E. Market St. in Cadiz, Ohio on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at noon with lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306 in his memory. This is an organization he believed strongly in and donated regularly to.
