Joseph “Joe” Earl Robb of Port Richey, Florida, formerly of Evansville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home, on October 17, 2024, at the age of 71.
Joe was born on January 2, 1953, and was the youngest child of Bill and Anna Robb. He married his high school sweetheart, Kathy (Katie) Ann Mehling. They were married for over 30 years before her passing in 2008.
Joe attended North High School and earned an associates degree at Ivy Tech in Evansville. He completed his formal education at Pasco-Hernando State College in Florida, earning a bachelors degree.
Joe was a member of Labor Local 561, when he lived in Evansville. He worked various construction jobs through the labor local. He was a fabricator in Florida.
Joe was an artist, tattoo artist, and life-long biker. He rode his Harley Davidson as much as he could. His 1940 Knucklehead 883 Sportster was a treasure to him.
Joe and Kathy had two children, Joseph II (JR) and Faith. JR and Faith survive Joe, along with grandchildren Jackson Rodriguez of Hollywood, Florida; Brittany Robb (5 children) of Evansville, Indiana; Zoey Robb of Evansville, Indiana; Joseph Andrew Robb of Evansville, Indiana; and Michael Johnson of Evansville, Indiana.
Joe is survived by siblings, Bill Robb II, Evansville, Indiana; Donna (Robb) Hodge, Evansville, Indiana; and Edward Robb of Spring Hill, Florida, nephews Bill Robb III, Thomas Robb, Robert Robb, Steven Robb, and Darrell Hodge, Jr. and his favorite niece on the Robb side of his family, Tammy Hodge all of Evansville, Indiana. Also surviving are great nephews and great nieces of Evansville, and hundreds of cousins from the Hunt, Dillon, Robb, Cates, and Jones families, throughout the United States, and companion, Peggy Walling and her family.
Joe is predeceased by his wife, Kathy, his parents, Bill and Anna Robb, his in-laws, Edward and Leara Mehling, a sister-in-law, Carolyn Sue, a brother-in-law, Darrell, aunts, Virginia, Gerry Margaret, Nell, and Dora; uncles, Robert, Thomas, James, and Turner; and five first cousins, Ronald, Sherry, Marcia, Stephen, and Georgia.
Joe did not want a funeral, so he chose cremation. A gathering of friends and family will take place at a later date in Evansville, Indiana.
