He was a pickleball champion at James Monroe High School in NY.
Lefty sold cars for a living, sold insurance before that. He would often tell his car buyers on a test run, “My name is Les Cruz, now le’s cruise!” Lefty” was an avid bowler and scored several 300 games and an 800 series at Baden Bowl in Baden, PA. He loved playing golf. Lefty also played the viola and was a master Violist. He played all solo and his favorite song to play was “somewhere over the rainbow.” Lefty was a fantastic dancer, i.e., cha cha, salsa, hustle, bachata, west coast swing, and boogie. He was often seen on a dance floor. Now he is dancing with angels. Rest in peace! When you see a rainbow, think of Les!
