Linda Lorene Morefield

02/14/1941 - 11/07/2023

Her Lord said to Her, “Well done good and faithful servant” Matthew 25:21

Linda Morefield made her last irreverent gestures on November 7, 2023 by sticking her tongue out at the many doctors who were treating her in the ER. They knew how she felt about things. Actually everyone in the family always knew how she felt about things as she never held back. But in a good way. This was a very quick and unexpected passing.

She was born to the late Webb and Mary Haynes on Feb. 14, 1941. She and her husband Carl created a dynasty of a family who seemed not to know how babies are made. Survived by Daughter Suzanne Patton (Jon), Son Douglas VanScoy (Melissa), Daughter Carla Tackett (Chuck). 12 grandchildren: Brandi(Josh), Miranda(Trace), Amanda(AJ), Heath, Connor(Kayla), Abigail(AJ), Lexi(Gary), Jared(Emily), Curtis, Josie(Will), Clayton, Chase. 17 Great Grands: Gabby, Cameron, Gabe, Dylan, Hudsen, Adrian, Coleman, Averi, Harper, Mercy, Addisen, Blake, Kynlee, Josiah, Alayna, Emma, Aubrey, Haydin, Amara. She loves her family every single one and invested her time with all of them.

She was (in her time on earth), and IS (now in Heaven with Jesus), the best Wife, Mother, Mamaw, LWHW ‘little white haired woman’ and friend to all who knew her. She loves her Lord, family, friends, church with all her heart and she had a big one. She did anything she could for her family always.

She was the Head Internal Auditor for the State of Ohio for many years. She was extremely great at this so she may be running the accounting department in heaven right now. She loves the Lord our God and attended Faith Memorial Church Lancaster when in Ohio and Paradise Park Community Church in FL.

She had a heart for volunteering and helped serve meals at Foundation Dinners for those in need, she documented all the community events at Paradise Park with photos, and created a directory for documenting those who have passed among many other things. She was very musical, sang in the church choir, played piano and recently learned the ukulele playing with a group of ladies in FL. She loved to dance and had the cutest little booty shake which she gifted to all her family. She had a group of her high school girlfriends who she lunched and traveled with regularly who she loved very much. She loved all her friends in Ohio and in Florida.
She will be greatly missed by all.

We are having a celebration of her life in Florida Thursday November 16th 1pm at Paradise Park, Punta Gorda. We also will have a celebration of her life likely mid July in Lancaster, Ohio.
