Lucien “Lu” Arsenault passed away at 90 on Sunday morning, February 2, 2025 due to complications from an illness. Lu, raised in Ipswich, MA, was born in Rumford, ME on November 17, 1934.

A Korea veteran, Lu served in the Army ROTC, followed by nearly thirty years of service in the Air Force, Navy, and Air Guard. He had a long career with the US Postal Service.

Lu loved to spend time with family and friends, sing karaoke, all the while never passing up a chance to crack a joke or play a prank. His favorite thing was seeing other people smile. He recently had won two perfect hand awards in cribbage.

Lu is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Rose “Cookie,” son John, son Matt, daughter JoAnn and her husband Joe Roberge. He was the grandfather of Belinda, Sean, Samuel Lucien, Erin, Michael; he was the great-grandfather of Hazel and Millie. He was adored by countless family members and friends.

The family will hold a private celebration of life with invitations forthcoming. No flowers or donations will be accepted at this time.
