Matthew Glenn Schoeppe of New Port Richey, Florida was born on September 13, 1963, in Racine, Wisconsin. He was born again in 1989 and completed his earthly sojourn on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.
Matthew is survived by his wife, Michelle (Thomson) Schoeppe of 26 years, son Melvin (Tiffany) and granddaughter Everley Claire, sons Henry, Jason, Dawson, Brent, Aaron, Joseph, Wedje, Malcolm, Samuel and Preston, sisters Terry (Eldon) Porter, Dawn (Chip) Pearson, brother Mark Schoeppe, sisters Rita Schoeppe, Renee (David) Easter, and Beth (Drew) Tuecke, as well as sixteen nieces and nephews.
Matt was a beloved, highly respected and admired husband, father, brother, uncle, friend and co-worker. Professionally, he was an accomplished architectural designer, a conscientious landlord, and a construction contractor with unusual talent and an eye for detail. He was humble and hard-working. Familywise, he was a committed husband and father. His sons filled his heart with pride, love and joy, and the arrival of his granddaughter Everley melted that same heart. He was also a devoted brother and son, who would do anything for his family at any time, and he and Michelle were the primary tender care-givers for his mom for many years. Matt was affectionate, and many furred and feathered pets preferred his chair and lap over others. He had an insatiable sense of humor; his puns brought light and laughter to even the toughest situation. He was a train enthusiast, an avid Three Stooges fan and an often angry Green Bay Packer backer. But most importantly, Matt had a sure salvation based on the finished work of the Only Savior of men, Jesus Christ. He often talked with joy about Jesus’ finished work on the cross that bought his salvation, changed the direction of his life and secured his eternal standing with God. His absence leaves an immense void, as he freely offered a listening ear, and was a pillar of strength for anyone in need of help, advice or a kind word.
