Maureen O’Donnell, 44, of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away suddenly on September 11, 2026. She was born on November 14, 1981, in West Islip, New York, to Marion and John O’Donnell.
Maureen was the youngest of twelve children and was part of a large and loving family. She is survived by her siblings Barbara, Sue, Cathy, Nancy, Carolyn, Kelly, John, Tom, Joseph, and Kevin. She was preceded in death by her loving sister, Pat, and her beloved parents, Marion and John, whose presence continues to be deeply missed.
Maureen was also part of an extensive family that included aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom were touched by her life in their own way.
Above all, Maureen was a sister, daughter, and mother. She leaves behind her two amazing daughters, Abigail and Makayla, who will carry their own memories of their mother and the place she held in their lives. Maureen will rest in peace knowing the girls are loved and will always be taken care of by their Aunt Carolyn, as well as the entire family.
Maureen had a good sense of humor and enjoyed watching movies and listening to music. She will be remembered by her family and friends in many different ways, through the years and experiences they shared together.
Maureen worked at Discovery Village of Trinity, where she took pride in her work and enjoyed the people around her. Those who worked with her remembered her as a hardworking person who greeted others with a smile and brought warmth and good humor to her workplace. Her family was grateful to hear how much she was appreciated and enjoyed by the residents and staff who knew her.
While Maureen’s life included its share of challenges, she remained a part of a family that cared deeply about her and always hoped for the best for her. She will be missed, remembered, and mourned by those who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2026, on what would have been Maureen’s 45th birthday.
