Melissa Garvin Stillman

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce that Melissa G Stillman, 63, of Sarasota, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025, after a long illness, surrounded by family.

Melissa was born on October 26, 1961, in Manchester, NH, to James and Barbara Garvin.
Melissa married Kevin Stillman, and they had a happy and loving marriage for 22 years.

Melissa, a vibrant and creative soul, left an indelible mark on the lives of those who knew her. Her passions for decorating, art, music, and travel inspired countless moments of joy and beauty.
As a talented artist and decorator, Melissa brought warmth to every space she touched. She was also an excellent cook and could make anything taste delicious. Melissa had a great love for plants and animals, and her love of karaoke filled the air with laughter and music. Her laugh was infectious.

Later in her life, Melissa faced health challenges with courage and resilience. Despite these obstacles, she continued to pursue her passions and live life to the fullest.

She is survived by her husband Kevin Stillman , brother James Garvin (Barbara Moro Garvin), sister, Noël Crosby (Michael). She is preceded in death by her sister Kimberly. Her nieces and nephews, JT, Ashley, Shane, Micah, Maria, and Scott, adored her, and she inspired them with her creativity and zest for life. She was the “cool aunt”.
