Michael Robert Young

Michael Robert Young, age 81, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of strength, service, and devotion. Born on September 9, 1944, Michael lived a life defined by the values of the United States Marine Corps, where he served with honor and pride. Once a Marine, always a Marine, he carried the spirit of Semper Fidelis—Always Faithful—into every aspect of his life.
​Michael was the beloved husband of the late Mildred Young, with whom he is now reunited. Together, they built a family rooted in love and resilience. He was a steady presence and a source of guidance for his four daughters: Kimberly Mitchell and her husband Charlie; Victoria Young; Kristin McKeen and her husband Tyler; and Cynthia Young.
​His greatest joy in his later years was his role as a grandfather. He leaves behind four grandsons who will carry his memory forward: Zachary, Trevor, Tyler Charles Jr., and Kaiden. They will remember him for his strength of character and the quiet pride he took in their accomplishments. He also leaves behind a Sister Janice “Young” Jones and her husband David with his nephew Christopher and a niece Lauren.
