| Rand E Duffy, aka Randy or Bumpa, passed away after a period of failing health on 9/1/2025. He was born August 26, 1955 in Bridgeport, CT to John and Leona Duffy. He spent most of his life living in Harrisville, NH. He began attending Wells Memorial School in the fourth grade where he met the love of his life, Dawn, on his first day. Rand and Dawn were married March 23, 1974 in Harrisville where they continued to reside and raise their family. He joined the Harrisville Fire Department in the 70’s, holding the position of Fire Chief until he retired. He also became a Harrisville Police officer and eventually served as the Chief of Police. Rand spent his entire career in the automotive industry. He and Dawn owned Marlborough Texaco service station for years until he accepted a position at Keats. Throughout his career he worked hard learning as much as he could and successfully earned the elite status of GM-WCT as well as ASE Master Technician certifications across all areas of repair. In 2016, he found a new calling in teaching and began educating students at Sanborn Regional High School in auto and wood shop. He accepted his dream job in 2018 at MassBay Community College teaching in the General Motors ASEP that provides technical training and hands-on experience to GM technicians. Unfortunately, a few months after starting , he was forced to retire due to declining health. Rand is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Stanley, Colin, Jon, Richard, wife Dawn, and daughter Diana. He is survived by his daughter, Athena, her husband Evan Gould, as well as their children Kaitlynn and Jon. Bumpa will also be greatly missed by all of his grandchildren Nevaeh, Hailey, Cooperlyne, Kameron, Alyse, Jacob and great grandchildren Jeremiah and Blakely, brothers Rick (Jeri), Jeff (Debbie), his nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. |
