Rory Colvin, age 60, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 10, 2023. He was born October 9, 1962, to Margie Colvin and the late John Colvin.

Preceeded in death by two brothers: Ricky Colvin and Darryl Colvin, daughter Jamie, a granddaughter and a grandson.

Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Lori; his daughters, Bobbie, Crystal, Amber, step-daughter Leeann; a sister, Diane; three brothers, Steve, Rodney, and Greg; four grandsons and five granddaughters; six, great grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

DEATH

Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I, and you are you. Whatever we were to each other, we still are. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference in your tone, wear no forced air solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Pray, smile, think of me; pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that is always was, let it be spoken without effort, without the trace of a shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant. It’s the same as it ever was; there is un-broken continuity. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner.
