Roy Arthur Kenyon, 74, passed away on September 9, 2024, in Bradenton, FL. Born on November 10, 1949, Roy was known for his outgoing, generous spirit, and his ability to light up any room with laughter and kindness.
Roy graduated from Milford High School and went on to have a fulfilling career, retiring from El Dorado Tool & Die in 1991. He later moved to Florida, where he continued working and retired from Stenten’s Golf Cart Accessories in 2015. Roy’s love for life didn’t just end with his retirement; he was an avid enthusiast of classic cars, particularly his ’68 Camaro, and enjoyed attending car shows. He was also a frequent cruiser, often embarking on multiple cruises each year, and was a fan of concerts, football, and auto racing.
Roy was preceded in death by his second wife, Bonnie Kenyon, and his parents, Wendall Kenyon, a WWII veteran, and Clara Kenyon. He is survived by his loving family, including his sisters, Jean Pecora and Gail Haas; his brother, Wayne Kenyon; his son, Roy Kenyon Jr., daughter-in-law Brenda; and his grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan, and Kevin.
A memorial service is scheduled for April of 2025 in Connecticut, where he will be remembered and celebrated by his family and friends. Roy’s life was marked by joy and generosity, making lasting impressions on all who knew him. His legacy of kindness and humor will live on through the many lives he touched.
