Sandra K. “Sandy” Woods, of Homosassa, passed away on February 28, 2026. Leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and deep devotion to her family and friends. She was born on August 17, 1960, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where she spent her early years. She later moved to Florida and lived in Dunedin for many years before making her home in Homosassa.
Above all else, Sandy was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was the proud and loving mother of David (Rachel) Woods and Jonathan (Erica) Woods. Her greatest joy was being “Grandma” to Lucas, Leah, Emilia, and Hunter Woods. They were the light of her life and the center of her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley and Walter Starner, and her daughter, Patricia Woods, remembered always in her heart.
Sandy was also a treasured sister, aunt, and loyal friend. She had a vibrant spirit and a gift for forming lasting friendships wherever she went. She felt most at peace out on the boat, surrounded by water and sunshine, or gathered with friends, sharing stories and laughter. Her warmth made people feel welcome, her strength carried her through life’s challenges, and her generous heart left a lasting mark on all who knew her.
Though she will be deeply missed, the love she gave so freely lives on in the lives she touched. Her memory will be held close, spoken often, and cherished always.
