Sandra Kay L’Homme
February 1, 1945 – May 6, 2025
Sandra Kay L’Homme, affectionately known as “Sandy,” passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025, at the age of 80, surrounded by the love of her family at the New Port Richey Hospice Care Center.
Born on February 1, 1945, Sandy lived a life filled with love, laughter, and fierce devotion to her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, her two cherished daughters, Angela Turner (51) and Amber Leto (50), five grandchildren—Destney Johnson (33), Clyde Turner (28), John Leto V (25), Makenna Leto (23), and Kai Leto (13)—and four great-grandchildren: Amarielle McClung, Adryon Smith, Alex Carrion, and Nayeli Carrion.
In her early years, Sandy worked in factories in Indiana, unaware of the toll it would later take on her health. Yet, she never let hardship define her. A devoted mother, she poured her heart into raising her daughters, cheering them on at gymnastics, softball, soccer, and swim meets, always putting their needs before her own. She embraced the joys of farm life, caring for goats, chickens, cows, and even a beloved pet raccoon.
Later in life, Sandy found her dream job working in the beauty department at Kohl’s, where she fully embraced her inner Purple Diva. With her signature purple hair, vibrant personality, and matching purple Jeep, she brought joy and color wherever she went. Her love of makeup, fashion, and wigs was more than a hobby—it was an expression of her lively spirit and infectious humor.
Sandy made friends wherever she went. Her kindness, warmth, and authenticity created deep bonds that lasted a lifetime. She loved classical music, coffee dates and shopping trips with her daughters, and especially Christmas, when she delighted in showering her grandchildren with gifts and love.
She often said, “My cup runneth over,” a reflection of the immense love she both gave and received. Though our hearts are heavy, we find peace knowing she is now in eternal glory with God.
Sandy will be missed beyond measure, but her legacy of love, strength, are sparkle lives on in every life she touched.
