Steve was born in Litchfield, CT, the only child to Daniel and Jaqueline McAuliffe. He moved with his parents to Bellaire Beach, FL in 1966. He graduated from Principia College with a BA in Business where he was also the captain of the water polo team. Steve was a licensed real estate broker and spent majority of his life in the residential housing industry. He began his career at Seabord Adverting Inc, then opened is his own business ABM Marketing and then went to work for JMC Communties for 19 years. He received various awards from the National Association for Home Builders and Florida Home Builders Association, where he also was on the board of directors. Upon retirement he became the board president of his condominium Antigua at Dolphin Cay. Outside of work he enjoyed traveling, spending summers @ Hidden Lore in Traverse City, MI and taking care of his dog Milo

He is survived by his wife Becky of St.Petersburg,FL. In-laws Tom and Pam Feiten of Mason, MI. Brothers & sister-in-laws Kris & Kelly Hammerle; Andy & Shannon Hammerle; Joanne & Corey Campbell; Theresa & Felix Martin; Sharon & JC Goldrup and Tom Feiten. Nieces and nephews David Hammerle; Madon, Cohen & Taylin Campbell; Drew Hammerle; Olivia & Miles Martin; Colby Goldrup; Kai Feiten and numerous other family members.
