Travis Rivers Hopkins

Travis Rivers Hopkins, 51, passed away Monday, September 30th, 2024 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Travis was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina, however resided in Florida his entire life. Travis attended Northeast High School in St. Petersburg and later attended Florida State University earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Marketing, and later attended the University of South Florida earning a Master’s Degree in International Business. He spent his entire professional career with Valpack, joining in 2000 first joining the Marketing Team where he led meetings and events. He then moved to local marketings as a Franchise Development Consultant and later as a Director of Sales Training and Development. Additionally, Travis earned his Florida Real Estate License, as well as attended and earned certification at the University of South Florida’s Training and Professional Education Brewing Arts Program.

Travis had many passions including travel, comedy & film making. As an avid traveler, he visited Italy, Spain, Iceland, Mexico, Ireland, the Caribbean, and many cities across the US. From those experiences, he felt blessed and grateful to enjoy many friendships he developed across his life. He had a love for New England and Florida Beaches – and often daily visited Pass-a-Grille Beach and Fort Desoto. Travis adored his family and close friendships and was fortunate enough to foster each of those relationships across many decades. He also had a love of glassware, art, and brewing. He enjoyed learning the art of brewing craft beer and whiskey, and also acted in local films. Travis was also actively involved in the volunteer board at Chi Phi (his FSU Fraternity), where he served as a role model and mentor.

Travis Rivers is survived by two sisters, Deborah Shaver and her husband Richard (St. Petersburg), Jennifer Hopkins Hosmer (Tierra Verde) and two brothers, Tim Houle & his fiancé Leila (St. Petersburg) and Brian Hopkins (Chesterton, Indiana). He is also survived by three nephews, Aidan Hosmer (St. Petersburg), Samuel Hopkins (Chesterton, Indiana), and Stephen Shaver & his wife Michelle, and their son Mason. He also leaves behind three nieces Alice Tolba (Seffner), Haleigha Hosmer (St. Petersburg), and Audrey Hopkins (Chesterton, Indiana). Travis also leaves behind many other family members and friends that will miss him dearly.

Travis is preceded in death by his parents Paul Hopkins and Gayle Patricia Hopkins.

A celebration of life in honor of Travis will be scheduled for a later date.
