Walter Wallace Cyr of Bradenton, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.
Walter, affectionately known as Walt was born on May 29, 1946 in Providence , Rhode Island. He was the oldest of 8 kids born to Maurice and Reina.

At the age of 17 he joined the Unites States Marine Corps and served our country in two deployments to Vietnam. He received countless awards including 3 Purple Hearts for wounded in action. Walt was very active in the DAV and Elk’s where he proudly served on a Regional and National level. He took great pride in being able to help his fellow Veteran’s that served our country and was a proud Marine to the core. Walt was a devoted husband, father, dad, grandfather and great grandfather who loved his family deeply.

He is proceeded in death by his parents Maurice and Reina as well as his sisters Jolene and Roland and his brother Gene.
He is survived by his loving wife April Cyr, son’s Michael and John Cyr and daughters Melissa and Christine along with countless grandkids and great kids and also his four brother’s, Ray, Mike, Bob and Ron Cyr.
