Willie was born November, 12, 1965 in Santurce, Puerto Rico, the son of Luis Diaz and Iris Crespo.

Willie loved saving animals, helping people, and playing his guitar. He always knew how to make someone laugh.

He is survived by his daughter, Gabriela, and her mother, Sondra; his siblings, Harold and Carmen; his nieces—Jessica, Angelica, Grace, Marie, Cristina, and Victoria—and their children. Willie also leaves behind those who became like family to him: JoSarah, Ruben, Josue, Damian, Megan, and many others whose lives he touched.

A celebration of Willie’s life will be held on June 1, 2025, at Gulf Gate Church in Sarasota, Florida.
